Terms of Service

1. About Nodesnack

Nodesnack (operated by Novel Hedgehog LLC) provides a web data API that returns structured JSON from publicly available sources across 30+ platforms. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use Nodesnack to:

• Retrieve publicly available data for research, analytics, monitoring, or building applications
• Integrate our API into your products and services
• Use retrieved data for lawful commercial purposes

You may not:

• Use the API for any illegal purpose or to violate any applicable law
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, or attack our infrastructure
• Resell raw API access (building products on top of our data is fine)
• Use the service to harass, stalk, or harm individuals
• Circumvent rate limits or abuse the free tier
• Scrape data that is behind authentication walls you are not authorized to access

3. Credits and Payments

• Credits are purchased in packs via Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page.
• Credits never expire.
• Credits are non-refundable once used. Unused credits from a pack may be refunded within 14 days of purchase by contacting hello@nodesnack.com.
• Each API call deducts credits based on the endpoint used. Credit costs are documented on each endpoint page.
• Free tier credits (100) are granted once per account.

4. Rate Limits and Fair Use

API requests are subject to rate limits to ensure fair access for all users. Current limits are displayed in our documentation. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that generate excessive load or abuse the service.

5. Data Accuracy

Nodesnack aggregates publicly available data from third-party platforms. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data returned by our API. Platform data can change at any time, and third-party platforms may restrict access without notice. Use the data at your own risk.

6. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in activity that harms other users or our infrastructure. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings.

7. Limitation of Liability

Nodesnack is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

Data returned by the API originates from third-party platforms. We do not claim ownership of that data. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of the platforms from which data is sourced. Our API, documentation, and website are the intellectual property of Novel Hedgehog LLC.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address on your account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
